Rasulullah berdiri shalat malam hingga kedua telapak kakinya bengkak

حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عِلَاقَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْمُغِيرَةَ يَقُولُقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى تَوَرَّمَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ قَالَ أَفَلَا أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا

Nos contou [Shadaqah bin Al Fadl], nos contou [Ibn Uyainah], nos contou [Ziyad], ou seja, Ibn 'Ilaaqah, que ouviu [Al Mughirah] dizer: O Profeta (que a paz e as bênçãos de Allah estejam sobre ele) permaneceu em oração até que as solas de seus pés incharam. Então lhe perguntaram: 'Allah não te perdoou os teus pecados passados e futuros?' Ele respondeu: 'Não serei eu um servo agradecido?'
