أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ الْخَالَةُ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأُمِّ وَالْعَمَّةُ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَبِ وَبِنْتُ الْأَخِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَخِ وَكُلُّ رَحِمٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ رَحِمِهِ الَّتِي يُدْلِي بِهَا إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ وَارِثٌ ذُو قَرَابَةٍ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Muhammad bin Salim] from [Ash Sya'bi] from [Masruq] from [Abdullah] he said:The position of maternal aunts is the same as that of mothers, paternal aunts are the same as fathers, daughters of brothers are the same as brothers and all dzawul arhams are the same as other dzawul arhams determined by them, they are related to the deceased if there are no heirs who are closely related.
