أَخْبَرَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَكْلِ الضِّبَابِ فَقَالَ أَهْدَتْ أُمُّ حُفَيْدٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمْنًا وَأَقِطًا وَأَضُبًّا فَأَكَلَ مِنْ السَّمْنِ وَالْأَقِطِ وَتَرَكَ الضِّبَابَ تَقَذُّرًا لَهُنَّ فَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا مَا أُكِلَ عَلَى مَائِدَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا أَمَرَ بِأَكْلِهِنَّ
Narrated to us [Ziyad bin Ayyub], he said : has told us [Husyaim], he said : Narrated to us [Abu Bisyr] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] that he was asked about eating monitor lizards, then said : Umm Hufaid had presented Rasulullah peace be upon him with butter, cheese and lizards, then he ate some of the butter and cheese and left the lizards, because he was not happy. If it were haram then it would not have been eaten in the food of the Prophet peace be upon him and he would not have ordered it to be eaten.
