Imam Tirmidzi : 1514

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ مَجُوسِ الْبَحْرَيْنِوَأَخَذَهَا عُمَرُ مِنْ فَارِسَ وَأَخَذَهَا عُثْمَانُ مِنْ الْفُرْسِ وَسَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدًا عَنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ هُوَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated to us [Al Husain bin Abu Kabsyah Al Bashri] said, narrated to us ['Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] from [Malik] from [Az Zuhri] from [As Sa`ib bin Yazid], he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took jizyah from the Magians of Bahrain, Umar took it from the Persians, and Utsman took it from the Furs.' I asked Muhammad about this hadith’s narrator, and he replied: '(It is) Malik, from Az Zuhri, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.'
