حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ بَجَالَةَأَنَّ عُمَرَ كَانَ لَا يَأْخُذُ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ الْمَجُوسِ حَتَّى أَخْبَرَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ مَجُوسِ هَجَرَ وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ كَلَامٌ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ هَذَا وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Ibnu Abu Umar] said, narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Amru bin Dinar] from [Bajalah], he said: 'Umar did not take jizyah from the Magians until ['Abdurrahman bin Auf] informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, took jizyah from the Magians of Hajar.' The hadith’s wording is actually longer than this, and this is a hasan sahih hadith.
