حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ أَوْفُوا بِحِلْفِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَزِيدُهُ يَعْنِي الْإِسْلَامَ إِلَّا شِدَّةً وَلَا تُحْدِثُوا حِلْفًا فِي الْإِسْلَامِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Humaid bin Mas'adah] said, narrated to us [Yazid bin Zurai'] said, narrated to us [Husain Al Mu'allim] from [Amru bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said in his sermon: 'Fulfill the oaths of the pre-Islamic era, for Islam only strengthens them. Do not make new oaths in Islam.' He said: 'In this matter, there are also hadiths from 'Abdurrahman bin Auf, Ummu Salamah, Jubair bin Muth'im, Abu Hurairah, Ibnu Abbas, and Qais Abu Isa Ashim.' Abu Isa said: 'This hadith is hasan sahih.'
