Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Shalih], narrated to us [Ibnu Wahb], informed me ['Amr bin Al Harits] from ['Ubaidullah bin Abu Ja'far] from [Muhammad bin Ja'far bin Az Zubair] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah] that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 'Whoever dies with an obligation to fast, his guardian should fast on his behalf.' Abu Dawud said; this is regarding vowed fasting, and this is the opinion of Ahmad bin Hanbal.
