Imam Abu Dawud : 1381حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَنْ الْحَسَنِ قَالَخَطَبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فِي آخِرِ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ الْبَصْرَةِ فَقَالَ أَخْرِجُوا صَدَقَةَ صَوْمِكُمْ فَكَأَنَّ النَّاسَ لَمْ يَعْلَمُوا فَقَالَ مَنْ هَاهُنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ قُومُوا إِلَى إِخْوَانِكُمْ فَعَلِّمُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ قَمْحٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ أَوْ مَمْلُوكٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍفَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَأَى رُخْصَ السِّعْرِ قَالَ قَدْ أَوْسَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَلَوْ جَعَلْتُمُوهُ صَاعًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَرَى صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى مَنْ صَامَ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna], narrated to us [Sahl bin Yusuf], he said: [Humaid] informed us from [Al Hasan], he said: [Ibnu Abbas], may Allah have mercy on him, preached at the end of Ramadan on the pulpit in Basra, then said: Pay the zakat of your fasting! It was as if the people did not know about it, so he said again: Who is here from the people of Medina? Teach them, for they do not know. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, obligated this zakat: one sha' of dates or barley or half a sha' of wheat for every free person or slave, male or female, young or old. When Ali bin Abi Thalib, may Allah be pleased with him, came, he saw the low prices and said: Allah has made your provision abundant, so if you wish, make it one sha' for everything. Humaid said: Al Hasan believed that the zakat of Ramadan (fitrah) is obligatory for the fasting person.
