Zaid bin haritsah biasa dipanggil Zaid bin muhammad hingga Allah menurunkan ayat panggillah dia dengan nama bapaknya, itu lebih adil di sisi Allah
Imam Tirmidzi : 3750حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَمَا كُنَّا نَدْعُو زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ إِلَّا زَيْدَ ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ{ ادْعُوهُمْ لِآبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ }قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Qutaibah], narrated to us [Ya'qub bin Abdurrahman] from [Musa bin 'Uqbah] from [Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar] from [his father], he said: 'We always called Zaid bin Haritsah by the name Zaid bin Muhammad until the verse was revealed: Call them (adopted children) by (the names of) their fathers that is more just in the sight of Allah" (QS Al Ahzab: 5).' The narrator (Abu Isa) said: 'This hadith is a hasan sahih hadith.'"
