Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda sesungguhnya Madinah itu termasuk tanah haram yang aman

و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ أَهْوَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا حَرَمٌ آمِنٌ

And narrated to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] narrated to us [Ali bin Mushir] from [Asy Syaibani] from [Yusair bin Amru] from [Sahl bin Hunaif] he said The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, pointed to Medina with his hand and said: 'Indeed, Medina is a sacred and safe land.'
