Imam Muslim : 4909حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَحَدِيثُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَتَمُّ و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ الرِّيَاحِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهِنَّ وَيَقُولُهُنَّ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا حَزَبَهُ أَمْرٌ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَزَادَ مَعَهُنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
Narrated to us Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna and Ibnu Basysyar and Ubaidullah bin Sa'id - and this wording belongs to Ibnu Sa'id - they said narrated to us Mu'adz bin Hisyam narrated to me my father from Qatadah from Abul Aliyah from Ibnu Abbas that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray when in distress: "LAA-ILAAHA ILLALLOOHUL 'AZHIIMUL HALIIM, LAA-ILAAHA ILLALLOOH ROBBUL'ARSYIL 'AZHIIM, LAA-ILAAHA ILLALLAH ROBBUSSAMAAWAATI WAROBBUL ARDHI WAROBBUL'ARSYIL KARIIMI (There is no god but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne)." Narrated to us Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah narrated to us Waki' from Hisyam with this chain. And the Hadith of Mu'adz bin Hisyam is more complete. Narrated to us Abd bin Humaid informed us Muhammad bin Bisyr Al Abdi narrated to us Sa'id bin Abu Arubah from Qatadah that Abul Aliyah Ar Riyahi narrated to them from Ibnu Abbas that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed this prayer when in distress, - then he mentioned the same narration as the Hadith of Mu'adz bin Hisyam from his father from Qatadah - but with the phrase 'Rabbus samawati wal Ardhi.' Narrated to me Muhammad bin Hatim narrated to us Bahz narrated to us Hammad bin Salamah informed me Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Al Harits from Abul Aliyah from Ibnu Abbas that when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, faced a problem, he would say - then a similar narration was mentioned as the Hadith of Mu'adz from his father, with the addition 'Laailaaha Illallah Rabbul Arsyil Karim.'
