Turunnya QS. Al-Ahzab: 23 berkenaan dengan sahabat yang menepati tekadnya untuk berperang setelah tidak ikut Badar, lalu gugur di Uhud
Imam Tirmidzi : 3124حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَمِّي أَنَسُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ سُمِّيتُ بِهِ لَمْ يَشْهَدْ بَدْرًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَبُرَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ أَوَّلُ مَشْهَدٍ شَهِدَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غِبْتُ عَنْهُ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ أَرَانِي اللَّهُ مَشْهَدًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا بَعْدُ لَيَرَيَنَّ اللَّهُ مَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ فَهَابَ أَنْ يَقُولَ غَيْرَهَا فَشَهِدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ مِنْ الْعَامِ الْقَابِلِ فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو أَيْنَ قَالَ وَاهًا لِرِيحِ الْجَنَّةِ أَجِدُهَا دُونَ أُحُدٍ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَوُجِدَ فِي جَسَدِهِ بِضْعٌ وَثَمَانُونَ مِنْ بَيْنِ ضَرْبَةٍ وَطَعْنَةٍ وَرَمْيَةٍ فَقَالَتْ عَمَّتِي الرُّبَيِّعُ بِنْتُ النَّضْرِ فَمَا عَرَفْتُ أَخِي إِلَّا بِبَنَانِهِ وَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا } قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Muhammad] has told us [Abdullah Al Mubarak] has told us [Sulaiman bin Al Mughirah] from [Tsabit] from [Anas] said: my uncle, Anas bin An Nadlr said: my name is never ceased to be mentioned, I did not participate in the Badr war with Rasulullahpeace be upon him. That makes my heart tight. Then I said to myself: I didn't participate in the first war that the Prophetpeace be upon him took part in? Remember, by Allah, if Allah shows me a battle with the Messenger of Allahpeace be upon him afterwards, Allah will see what I will do. Anas said: He was reluctant to say anything other than that. Then he took part in the battle of Uhud with the Prophetpeace be upon him the following year. Sa'ad bin Mu'adz greeted him and said: O Abu Amru, where is the man who said: O fragrance of Paradise, I smell it behind Uhud? He immediately fought until he was killed. On his body were some eighty sword slashes, stabs and arrow stabs. My aunt, Ar Rubayyi' bint An Nadlr said: I did not recognize him except from the tips of his fingers. Then this verse was revealed: "Among the believers are men who fulfill what they have promised Allah; but among them are those who are killed. and among them are those who wait and they do not change (their promise)." (Al Ahzaab: 23) Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih.
