Nabi melemparkan kerikil ke arah pasukan musuh di Hunain seraya menyatakan mereka akan kalah, lalu kekuatan mereka melemah dan mundur
Imam Muslim : 3324و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ قَالَ عَبَّاسٌ شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فَلَزِمْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نُفَارِقْهُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ لَهُ بَيْضَاءَ أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ نُفَاثَةَ الْجُذَامِيُّ فَلَمَّا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَالْكُفَّارُ وَلَّى الْمُسْلِمُونَ مُدْبِرِينَ فَطَفِقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكُضُ بَغْلَتَهُ قِبَلَ الْكُفَّارِ قَالَ عَبَّاسٌ وَأَنَا آخِذٌ بِلِجَامِ بَغْلَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكُفُّهَا إِرَادَةَ أَنْ لَا تُسْرِعَ وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ آخِذٌ بِرِكَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيْ عَبَّاسُ نَادِ أَصْحَابَ السَّمُرَةِ فَقَالَ عَبَّاسٌ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا صَيِّتًا فَقُلْتُ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِي أَيْنَ أَصْحَابُ السَّمُرَةِ قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ لَكَأَنَّ عَطْفَتَهُمْ حِينَ سَمِعُوا صَوْتِي عَطْفَةُ الْبَقَرِ عَلَى أَوْلَادِهَا فَقَالُوا يَا لَبَّيْكَ يَا لَبَّيْكَ قَالَ فَاقْتَتَلُوا وَالْكُفَّارَ وَالدَّعْوَةُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ يَقُولُونَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قُصِرَتْ الدَّعْوَةُ عَلَى بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ فَقَالُوا يَا بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ يَا بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ كَالْمُتَطَاوِلِ عَلَيْهَا إِلَى قِتَالِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا حِينَ حَمِيَ الْوَطِيسُ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَصَيَاتٍ فَرَمَى بِهِنَّ وُجُوهَ الْكُفَّارِ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ أَنْظُرُ فَإِذَا الْقِتَالُ عَلَى هَيْئَتِهِ فِيمَا أَرَى قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ رَمَاهُمْ بِحَصَيَاتِهِ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَرَى حَدَّهُمْ كَلِيلًا وَأَمْرَهُمْ مُدْبِرًا و حَدَّثَنَاه إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ نُعَامَةَ الْجُذَامِيُّ وَقَالَ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ انْهَزَمُوا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ حَتَّى هَزَمَهُمْ اللَّهُ قَالَ وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكُضُ خَلْفَهُمْ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ و حَدَّثَنَاه ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ غَيْرَ أَنَّ حَدِيثَ يُونُسَ وَحَدِيثَ مَعْمَرٍ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُ وَأَتَمُّ
Narrated to me [Abu At Thahir Ahmad bin 'Amru bin Sarh], informed us [Ibn Wahb], informed me [Yunus] from [Ibn Shihab], he said: narrated to me [Katsir bin Abbas bin Abdul Mutthalib], he said: [Abbas] said, 'I joined the Battle of Hunain with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I and Abu Sufyan bin Harits bin Abdul Mutthalib stayed close to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, never parting from him. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, rode his white mule, a gift from Farwah bin Nufatsah Al Judzami. When the Muslims and the disbelievers faced each other, the Muslims retreated. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, spurred his mule toward the disbelievers.' Abbas said, 'I held the mule’s reins, restraining it from running too fast, while Abu Sufyan held the saddle of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "O Abbas, call the Samurah regiment!" Abbas, who had a loud voice, said, "I called them loudly, 'Where is the Samurah regiment…!' By Allah, they came swiftly upon hearing my call, like cows rushing to their calves. They said, "We are here, we are here." Abbas said, "They fought the disbelievers. Then the call went to the Ansar, 'O Ansar, O Ansar!' Then it turned to Banu Harith bin Khazraj, 'O Banu Al Harith bin Khazraj, O Banu Al Harith bin Khazraj!' The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, watched the battle from atop his mule, as if rallying the fighting troops, saying: 'This is when the battle blazes.' Abbas said, 'He took some pebbles and threw them at the disbelievers, saying: "By the Lord of Muhammad, you are defeated…!" Abbas said, 'By Allah, I witnessed the battle, and the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, threw only a few pebbles, yet I saw them gradually weaken and flee in disarray.' Narrated to us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim], [Muhammad bin Rafi'], and [Abd bin Humaid], all from [Abdurrazaq], informed us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] with this chain, but he mentioned, 'Farwah bin Nu'amah Al Judzami said, "He said: 'By the Lord of the Ka’bah, you are destroyed.'" And in the hadith, he added, "Until Allah destroyed them." Abbas said, "It was as if I saw the Prophet, peace be upon him, rallying the troops from behind on his mule." Narrated to us [Ibn Abu Umar], narrated to us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri], he said: informed me [Katsir bin Al Abbas] from [his father], he said, 'I was with the Prophet, peace be upon him, during the Battle of Hunain…' then he continued the hadith, but Yunus and Ma'mar’s hadiths are longer and more complete.
