Turunnya QS. Al-Hujurat: 10 setelah perselisihan dua kelompok kaum Muslimin dalam peristiwa kunjungan Nabi kepada Abdullah bin Ubay
Imam Bukhari : 2494حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي أَنَّ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَقِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ أَتَيْتَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أُبَيٍّ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَكِبَ حِمَارًا فَانْطَلَقَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَمْشُونَ مَعَهُ وَهِيَ أَرْضٌ سَبِخَةٌ فَلَمَّا أَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِلَيْكَ عَنِّي وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ آذَانِي نَتْنُ حِمَارِكَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْهُمْ وَاللَّهِ لَحِمَارُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَطْيَبُ رِيحًا مِنْكَ فَغَضِبَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ فَشَتَمَهُ فَغَضِبَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا أَصْحَابُهُ فَكَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا ضَرْبٌ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالْأَيْدِي وَالنِّعَالِ فَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّهَا أُنْزِلَتْ{ وَإِنْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا }
Narrated to us [Musaddad], narrated to us [Mu?tamir], he said: I heard [my father] that [Anas, may Allah be pleased with him], said: 'It was Sa'dto the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ?Why don?t you visit ?Abdullah bin Ubayy?? So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went to him riding a donkey, with the Muslims walking with him over barren land. When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reached him, he said: ?Stay away from me; by Allah, the smell of your donkey bothers me.? A man from the Ansar among them said: ?By Allah, the Prophet?s donkey smells better than you.? A man from his people got angry defending ?Abdullah bin Ubayy and insulted him. Each group?s companions grew angry, leading to fighting with palm branches, hands, and sandals. We heard that the verse was revealed: ?If two parties of believers fight, make peace between them? (QS. Al Hujurat: 9).'
