Perintah Nabi kepada Hudzaifah dan ayahnya menepati janji kepada kaum musyrikin meski itu menghalangi keduanya ikut Perang Badar
Imam Muslim : 3342و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ حَدَّثَنَا حُذَيْفَةُ بْنُ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ مَا مَنَعَنِي أَنْ أَشْهَدَ بَدْرًا إِلَّا أَنِّي خَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي حُسَيْلٌ قَالَ فَأَخَذَنَا كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ تُرِيدُونَ مُحَمَّدًا فَقُلْنَا مَا نُرِيدُهُ مَا نُرِيدُ إِلَّا الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَخَذُوا مِنَّا عَهْدَ اللَّهِ وَمِيثَاقَهُ لَنَنْصَرِفَنَّ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَلَا نُقَاتِلُ مَعَهُ فَأَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ الْخَبَرَ فَقَالَ انْصَرِفَا نَفِي لَهُمْ بِعَهْدِهِمْ وَنَسْتَعِينُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ
Narrated to us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah], narrated to us [Abu Usamah] from [Al Walid bin Jumai'], narrated to us [Abu At Thufail], narrated to us [Hudzaifah bin Yaman], he said, 'Nothing prevented me from participating in the Battle of Badr except that I and my father, Husail, were captured by the Quraysh when we left Mecca. They asked, "Are you going to meet Muhammad?" We replied, "No, we are only going to Medina." Then they made an agreement with us that we could go to Medina but must not fight on his side. We went to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and informed him of our situation. He said, "Go, and uphold your promise with them. We will seek Allah’s help to defeat them."'
