Peringatan sahal bin hunaif untuk mencurigai pendapat pribadi (ra'yu) saat munculnya fitnah khawarij
Imam Bukhari : 2944بَاب حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ شَهِدْتَ صِفِّينَ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَسَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ يَقُولُاتَّهِمُوا رَأْيَكُمْ رَأَيْتُنِي يَوْمَ أَبِي جَنْدَلٍ وَلَوْ أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ أَمْرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَرَدَدْتُهُ وَمَا وَضَعْنَا أَسْيَافَنَا عَلَى عَوَاتِقِنَا لِأَمْرٍ يُفْظِعُنَا إِلَّا أَسْهَلْنَ بِنَا إِلَى أَمْرٍ نَعْرِفُهُ غَيْرِ أَمْرِنَا هَذَا
Chapter: Narrated to us Abdan, informed us Abu Hamzah, he said: I heard Al-A'mash say: I asked Abu Wa'il 'Did you witness Siffin?' He Sa'd 'Yes, and I heard Sahl bin Hunaif say: Be cautious with your opinions. I saw myself on the day of Abu Jandal (the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah), and if I could have rejected the command of the Prophet (peace be upon him), I would have. We never placed our swords on our shoulders for something that alarmed us except that it led us to something we understood, except for this matter of ours.'
