Narrated to us [Abu Kuraib], he said: narrated to us [Abu Usamah] from [Hisyam bin Hassan] from [Muhammad bin Sirin] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibited a man from praying with hands on hips." He said: "In this chapter there is also a narration from Ibnu Umar." Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan sahih. Some scholars dislike placing hands on hips in prayer. And some others dislike if a man walks with hands on hips. Ikhtishar means a man placing hands on his hips in prayer. Or placing both hands on both hips. It is narrated that Iblis when walking places hands on hips."
