حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَهِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَحَذْفُ السَّلَامِ سُنَّةٌقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ يَعْنِي أَنْ لَا يَمُدَّهُ مَدًّاقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَسْتَحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ التَّكْبِيرُ جَزْمٌ وَالسَّلَامُ جَزْمٌ وَهِقْلٌ يُقَالُ كَانَ كَاتِبَ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ
Narrated to us [Ali bin Hujr], he said: informed us [Abdullah bin Al Mubarak] and [Hiql bin Ziyad] from [Al Auza'i] from [Qurrah bin Abdurrahman] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah], he said: "Shortening the salam is sunnah." Ali bin Hujr said: "Abdullah bin Al Mubarak said: 'That is, not prolonging it.'" Abu Isa said: "This hadith is hasan sahih. This opinion is preferred by scholars." And it is also narrated from Ibrahim An Nakha'I, that he said, "Takbir and salam are short." It is said that Hiql is the scribe of Al Auza'i."
