Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Hanbal], he said, narrated to us [Abdurrazaq], he said, informed us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri], he said, informed me [Salim bin Abdullah] and [Abu Bakr bin Sulaiman], that [Abdullah bin Umar] said, "One night, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the Isha prayer in the final days of his life. After the salam, he stood and said: 'Look at this night of yours, for in a hundred years, none on earth today will remain.'" Ibn Umar said, "Hearing the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, people speculated about the meaning of 'a hundred years.' But the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, meant: 'Those alive today, in a hundred years, none will remain on earth.' He emphasized that time would come."
