حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أُمَرَاءُ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ صُلِّيَتْ لِوَقْتِهَا كَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً وَإِلَّا كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَعُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي ذَرٍّ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ الصَّلَاةَ لِمِيقَاتِهَا إِذَا أَخَّرَهَا الْإِمَامُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي مَعَ الْإِمَامِ وَالصَّلَاةُ الْأُولَى هِيَ الْمَكْتُوبَةُ عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَأَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Musa Al Bashri] he said: narrated to us [Ja'far bin Sulaiman Adl Dluba'i] from [Abu Imran Al Jauni] from [Abdullah bin Ash Shamit] from [Abu Dzar] he said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'O Abu Dzar the rulers after me will neglect prayer so pray on time. If it is prayed on time you gain nafilah reward if not you have guarded your prayer.'" He said: "In this chapter there is also a narration from Abdullah bin Mas'ud and Ubadah bin Ash Shamit." Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Abu Dzar is hasan sahih. This is the view of many scholars. They prefer a man prays on time if the imam delays then joins the imam. Most scholars hold the early prayer is the obligatory one. Abu Imran Al Jauni's name is Abdul Malik bin Habib."
