Narrated to us [Abu Kuraib] has told us [Hafsh bin Ghiyats] from [al A'masy] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Abu al Ahwash] from [Abdullah] he said, Rasulullah peace be upon him said: "Indeed, Islam began in a foreign state and will return to a foreign state as it began, so fortunate are those who are foreigners," and in that chapter (also narrated) from Sa'ad, Ibn Umar, Jabir, Anas and Abdullah bin Amru. Abu Isa said : 'This is a hasan shahih gharib hadith from the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. We only know it from the hadith of Hafsh bin Ghiyats from al A'masy, and Abu al Ahwash's name is 'Auf bin Malik bin Nadhlah al Jusyami, Hafsh narrated it alone.
