Imam Bukhari : 1029حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ فِي السَّفَرِ يُؤَخِّرُ الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الْعِشَاءِقَالَ سَالِمٌ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَفْعَلُهُ إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ وَزَادَ اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَالِمٌ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ قَالَ سَالِمٌ وَأَخَّرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ الْمَغْرِبَ وَكَانَ اسْتُصْرِخَ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ سِرْ فَقُلْتُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ سِرْ حَتَّى سَارَ مِيلَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَعْجَلَهُ السَّيْرُ يُؤَخِّرُ الْمَغْرِبَ فَيُصَلِّيهَا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ ثُمَّ قَلَّمَا يَلْبَثُ حَتَّى يُقِيمَ الْعِشَاءَ فَيُصَلِّيهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ وَلَا يُسَبِّحُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ حَتَّى يَقُومَ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ
Abu Al-Yaman narrated to us, Shu'aib informed us, from Az-Zuhri, who Sa'd Salim informed me, from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), who Sa'd 'I saw the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him when travel was pressing, he would delay the Maghrib prayer and combine it with the 'Isha prayer.' Salim Sa'd 'And 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) did the same when travel was pressing.' Al-Laith added, saying, Yunus narrated to me from Ibn Shihab, who Sa'd Salim Sa'd 'Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) combined the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers at Muzdalifah.' Salim also Sa'd 'Ibn 'Umar delayed the Maghrib prayer because he was attending to his wife Safiyyah bint Abu 'Ubaid (who was ill). I Sa'dto him, "The prayer?" He replied, "Keep going." I Sa'dagain, "The prayer?" He replied, "Keep going." Until he traveled two or three miles, then he dismounted and prayed. After finishing, he Sa'd "This is how I saw the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him pray when travel was pressing." 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) Sa'd 'I saw the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him when travel was pressing, he delayed the Maghrib prayer, performed it with three rak'ahs, then gave salam. He paused briefly, then performed the 'Isha prayer with two rak'ahs, then gave salam, and did not perform any supererogatory prayers after 'Isha until he rose in the middle of the night.'
