Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basyar] has told us [Muhammad bin Khalid bin Atsmah] has told us [Malik bin Anas] from [Zaid bin Aslam] from [his father] said: I heard [Umar bin Al Khaththab] radiallahu 'anhu say: We were once with Rasulullahpeace be upon him on one of his journeys, I spoke with Rasulullahpeace be upon him but he was silent, I spoke but he was silent, I spoke and he remained silent then I moved my mount then I stepped aside, I said: Huss you O Ibn Al Khaththab, you urged the Messenger of Allahpeace be upon him three times, and all of that he ignored you?, the Qur'an (verse) will surely come down regarding you! He said: Not long afterward I heard someone shouting at me. He said: Then I went to the Messenger of Allahpeace be upon him, he said: "O Ibn Al Khaththab, indeed this letter has been revealed to me this night, I like it better than that which is illuminated by the sun (of the world): 'Indeed We have given you a clear victory." (Al Fath: 1) Abu Isa said: This hadith hasan shahih gharib. Some of them narrated it mursally from Malik.
