Imam Bukhari : 2892حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَا نَبِيٌّ مِنْ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ فَقَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ لَا يَتْبَعْنِي رَجُلٌ مَلَكَ بُضْعَ امْرَأَةٍ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ بِهَا وَلَمَّا يَبْنِ بِهَا وَلَا أَحَدٌ بَنَى بُيُوتًا وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ سُقُوفَهَا وَلَا أَحَدٌ اشْتَرَى غَنَمًا أَوْ خَلِفَاتٍ وَهُوَ يَنْتَظِرُ وِلَادَهَا فَغَزَا فَدَنَا مِنْ الْقَرْيَةِ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لِلشَّمْسِ إِنَّكِ مَأْمُورَةٌ وَأَنَا مَأْمُورٌ اللَّهُمَّ احْبِسْهَا عَلَيْنَا فَحُبِسَتْ حَتَّى فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَجَمَعَ الْغَنَائِمَ فَجَاءَتْ يَعْنِي النَّارَ لِتَأْكُلَهَا فَلَمْ تَطْعَمْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيكُمْ غُلُولًا فَلْيُبَايِعْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ قَبِيلَةٍ رَجُلٌ فَلَزِقَتْ يَدُ رَجُلٍ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ فِيكُمْ الْغُلُولُ فَلْيُبَايِعْنِي قَبِيلَتُكَ فَلَزِقَتْ يَدُ رَجُلَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ فِيكُمْ الْغُلُولُ فَجَاءُوا بِرَأْسٍ مِثْلِ رَأْسِ بَقَرَةٍ مِنْ الذَّهَبِ فَوَضَعُوهَا فَجَاءَتْ النَّارُ فَأَكَلَتْهَا ثُمَّ أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَنَا الْغَنَائِمَ رَأَى ضَعْفَنَا وَعَجْزَنَا فَأَحَلَّهَا لَنَا
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Al 'Alaa'] narrated to us [Ibnu Al Mubarak] from [Ma'mar] from [Hammam bin Munabbih] from [Abu Hurairah], may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A prophet among the prophets went to battle and Sa'dto his people: 'No man who has married a woman and intends to consummate but has not yet done so should follow me, nor one who has built houses but not raised their roofs, nor one who has bought sheep or pregnant camels and awaits their offspring.' He went to battle, and as they neared a village around the time of Asr prayer, he Sa'dto the sun: 'You are under command, as am I. O Allah, hold it for us.' The sun was held until Allah granted him victory. He gathered the spoils, but when the fire came to consume them, it did not. He said: 'There is treachery among you. Let one man from each tribe pledge loyalty to me.' A man?s hand stuck to his, and he said: 'The treachery is in your tribe.' Let your tribe pledge to me.' Two or three men?s hands stuck to his, and he said: 'The treachery is in your tribe.' They brought a piece of gold the size of a cow?s head and placed it down. The fire came and consumed it. Then Allah made spoils lawful for us, seeing our weakness and inability, so He permitted them for us."
