Rasulullah keluar saat sakit menjelang Wafat dan memuji Abu Bakar sebagai orang yang paling dipercaya
Imam Ahmad : 2306حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ عَاصِبًا رَأْسَهُ فِي خِرْقَةٍ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَمَنَّ عَلَيَّ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا مِنْ النَّاسِ خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا وَلَكِنْ خُلَّةُ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ سُدُّوا عَنِّي كُلَّ خَوْخَةٍ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ غَيْرَ خَوْخَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
Narrated to us [Ishaq bin Isa] has told us [Jarir] from [Ya'la bin Hakim] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas], he said : The Prophet peace be upon him came out when he was sick which caused him to die, at that time he tied his head with a cloth, then he sat on the pulpit. Then he praised Allah and glorified Him, and said: "Indeed, there is no one who is more trustworthy to me regarding his life and property than Abu Bakr bin Abu Quhafah. If I were allowed to make a lover from among humans, of course I would make Abu Bakr my lover, but Islamic brotherhood is more important. Close for me every small door in this mosque except Abu Bakr's small door.
