Tingginya iman seorang ibu atas kematian putranya
Imam Bukhari : 1218حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُاشْتَكَى ابْنٌ لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ فَمَاتَ وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ خَارِجٌ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ هَيَّأَتْ شَيْئًا وَنَحَّتْهُ فِي جَانِبِ الْبَيْتِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ قَالَ كَيْفَ الْغُلَامُ قَالَتْ قَدْ هَدَأَتْ نَفْسُهُ وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ اسْتَرَاحَ وَظَنَّ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَنَّهَا صَادِقَةٌ قَالَ فَبَاتَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ اغْتَسَلَ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ أَعْلَمَتْهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَا كَانَ مِنْهُمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ لَكُمَا فِي لَيْلَتِكُمَاقَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَرَأَيْتُ لَهُمَا تِسْعَةَ أَوْلَادٍ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ
Narrated by Bishr bin Al-Hakam, narrated by Sufyan bin Uyainah, informed us Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abu Thalhah, he heard Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) say: Abu Thalhah?s son was ill and died while Abu Thalhah was away. When his wife saw he had died, she prepared something and moved him aside in the house. When Abu Thalhah returned, he asked: 'How is the boy?' She said: 'He is calm, and I hope he is at rest.' Abu Thalhah thought she was truthful. He spent the night, and in the morning, he bathed. As he was about to leave, she informed him the boy had died. He prayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then told him what happened. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'May Allah bless your night.' Sufyan said: An Ansari man said: 'I saw they had nine children, all of whom memorized the Quran.'
