Hadith Representative
Setelah wahyu sudah tidak datang lagi, kita menilai seseorang dari zhahirnya yang tampak
Imam Bukhari : 2447حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُإِنَّ أُنَاسًا كَانُوا يُؤْخَذُونَ بِالْوَحْيِ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّ الْوَحْيَ قَدْ انْقَطَعَ وَإِنَّمَا نَأْخُذُكُمْ الْآنَ بِمَا ظَهَرَ لَنَا مِنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ فَمَنْ أَظْهَرَ لَنَا خَيْرًا أَمِنَّاهُ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ وَلَيْسَ إِلَيْنَا مِنْ سَرِيرَتِهِ شَيْءٌ اللَّهُ يُحَاسِبُهُ فِي سَرِيرَتِهِ وَمَنْ أَظْهَرَ لَنَا سُوءًا لَمْ نَأْمَنْهُ وَلَمْ نُصَدِّقْهُ وَإِنْ قَالَ إِنَّ سَرِيرَتَهُ حَسَنَةٌ
Narrated to us Al-Hakam bin Nafi,, informed us Shu'aib from Az-Zuhri, he said: Narrated to me Humaid bin Abdurrahman bin Auf that Abdullah bin Utbah said: I heard Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) say: 'People were judged by revelation during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but now revelation has ceased. We judge you now by what is apparent to us of your deeds. Whoever shows us good, we trust and draw near to him, and we have no concern with his inner intentions; Allah will judge his inner intentions. Whoever shows us evil, we do not trust him or believe him, even if he claims his inner intentions are good.'
