Imam Tirmidzi : 3080حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَبَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى نَجْرَانَ فَقَالُوا لِي أَلَسْتُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ وَقَدْ كَانَ بَيْنَ عِيسَى وَمُوسَى مَا كَانَ فَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا أُجِيبُهُمْ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ أَلَا أَخْبَرْتَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُمْقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ
Narrated to us [Abu Sa'id Al Asyuj] and [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna] both said: Narrated to us [Ibn Idris] from [his father] from [Simak bin Harb] from [Alqamah bin Wa`il] from [Al Mughirah bin Syu'bah] said: Rasulullahpeace be upon him sent me to Najran, they asked: Didn't you read: "O sisters Aaron." (Maryam: 28), and there was a very close relationship between isa and Moses? -- I didn't know the answer so I went back to the Messenger of Allahpeace be upon him, I told him, he answered: "Didn't you tell them that they used to mention their prophets and the righteous people before them?" Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan shahih gharib, we only know it from the hadith of Ibn Idris.
