Minta hujan berwasilah paman nabi, 'abbas bin 'abdul muththalib, setelah nabi wafat
Imam Bukhari : 3434حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ إِذَا قَحَطُوا اسْتَسْقَى بِالْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّنَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَسْقِينَا وَإِنَّا نَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ بِعَمِّ نَبِيِّنَا فَاسْقِنَا قَالَ فَيُسْقَوْنَ
"Narrated to us by Al-Hasan bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari, from my father 'Abdullah bin Al-Muthanna, from Thumamah bin 'Abdullah bin Anas, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): When they faced drought, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab would seek rain through 'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib, saying, 'O Allah, we used to seek intercession through our Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, and You granted us rain. Now we seek intercession through the uncle of our Prophet, so grant us rain.' Anas said, 'Then rain would fall.'
