Dia berada di awan yang tinggi, di atas dan di bawahnya tidak ada udara dan dia menciptakan 'arsynya di atas air
Imam Tirmidzi : 3034حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ قُلْتُيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيْنَ كَانَ رَبُّنَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ خَلْقَهُ قَالَ كَانَ فِي عَمَاءٍ مَا تَحْتَهُ هَوَاءٌ وَمَا فَوْقَهُ هَوَاءٌ وَخَلَقَ عَرْشَهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ قَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْعَمَاءُ أَيْ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ شَيْءٌ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَكَذَا رَوَى حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَكِيعُ بْنُ حُدُسٍ وَيَقُولُ شُعْبَةُ وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ وَهُشَيْمٌ وَكِيعُ بْنُ عُدُسٍ وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ وَأَبُو رَزِينٍ اسْمُهُ لَقِيطُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ
Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Mani'] has told us [Yazid bin Harun] has told us [Hammad bin Salamah] from [Ya'la bin Atho`] and [Waki' bin Hudus] from [his uncle, Abu Razin] said: I once asked: O Messenger of Allah, where was Allah before He created His creatures? He answered: "He is in a high cloud, above and below him there is no air and He created His throne above the water." Ahmad bin Mani' said: Yazid bin Harun said: The term Ama` is that there is nothing with it. Abu Isa said: That's how Hammad bin Salamah and Waki' narrated. Syu'bah, Abu Awanah, Husyaim and Waki' bin Udus said and it is more authentic. Abu Razin's name is Laqith bin Amir. Abu Isa said that this hadith is hasan.
