حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَاشْتَكَى عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ عَيْنَيْهِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَهُوَ أَمِيرُ الْمَوْسِمِ مَا يَصْنَعُ بِهِمَا قَالَ اضْمِدْهُمَا بِالصَّبِرِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ
Ahmad ibn Hanbal nous a rapporté ce hadith, transmis par Sufyan d'après Ayyub ibn Musa, d'après Nubaih ibn Wahb. Umar ibn Ubaidullah ibn Ma'mar ressentit une douleur aux deux yeux et envoya un messager à Aban ibn Uthman. Sufyan dit : « Il était le chef du pèlerinage. Umar demanda ce qu'il devait faire de ses yeux. Aban répondit : Enveloppe-les de shabir (un tissu amer), car j'ai entendu Uthman (qu'Allah l'agrée) le dire d'après le Messager d'Allah (que la paix et le salut soient sur lui). » Uthman ibn Abu Syaibah nous a rapporté ce hadith, transmis par Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn Ulayyah d'après Ayyub, d'après Nafi', d'après Nubaih ibn Wahb.
