Imam Tirmidzi : 974حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمِ النَّبِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَقَدْ أُذِنَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ أُمِّهِ فَزُورُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُ الْآخِرَةَقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ بُرَيْدَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لَا يَرَوْنَ بِزِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ بَأْسًا وَهُوَ قَوْلُ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَقَ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basyar] and [Mahmud bin Ghailan] and [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal] they said; Narrated to us [Abu 'Ashim An Nabil] narrated to us [Sufyan] from ['Alqamah bin Martsad] from [Sulaiman bin Buraidah] from [his father] he said; The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him said: 'I had prohibited you from visiting graves. Now Muhammad has been permitted to visit his mother's grave, so visit them, because (visiting graves) can remind of the hereafter.' (Abu Isa At Tirmidzi) said; 'A similar hadith is narrated from Abu Sa'id, Ibn Mas'ud, Anas, Abu Hurairah and Umm Salamah.' Abu Isa said; 'The hadith of Buraidah is a hasan sahih hadith. Scholars practice it, they opine that visiting graves is permissible. This is the opinion of Ibn Mubarak, Shafi'i, Ahmad and Ishaq.'"
