Imam Tirmidzi : 2576حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ انْتِزَاعًا يَنْتَزِعُهُ مِنْ النَّاسِ وَلَكِنْ يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ بِقَبْضِ الْعُلَمَاءِ حَتَّى إِذَا لَمْ يَتْرُكْ عَالِمًا اتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ رُءُوسًا جُهَّالًا فَسُئِلُوا فَأَفْتَوْا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَضَلُّوا وَأَضَلُّواوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَزِيَادِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ هَذَا
Narrated to us [Harun bin Ishaq al Hamdani] has told us ['Abdah bin Sulaiman] from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Abdullah bin 'Amru bin al 'Ash] he said : Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, Allah does not take away knowledge by taking it directly from humans, but He takes away knowledge by passing away the scholars, so that when He does not leave an alim (on the face of the earth) then humans make ignorant people as leaders, then they are questioned, then they give fatwas without knowledge, they are astray and misleading." And this chapter was also narrated from Aisyah and Ziyad bin Labid. Abu Isa said : 'This is an authentic Hasan hadith. And [az Zuhri] has narrated this hadith from [Urwah] from [Abdullah bin 'Amru] and from [Urwah] from [Aisyah] from the Prophet peace be upon him hadith like this.
