Dianjurkan melihat wanita yang hendak dilamar sebelum menikah agar lebih menimbulkan kasih sayang
Imam Tirmidzi : 1007حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ هُوَ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَأَنَّهُ خَطَبَ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّهُ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَاوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَبِي حُمَيْدٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَالُوا لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا مَا لَمْ يَرَ مِنْهَا مُحَرَّمًا وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا قَالَ أَحْرَى أَنْ تَدُومَ الْمَوَدَّةُ بَيْنَكُمَا
Narrated to us by [Ahmad bin Mani'], narrated to us by [Ibnu Abu Za`idah] who said; Narrated to me by ['Ashim bin Sulaiman Al Ahwal] from [Bakr bin Abdullah Al Muzani] from [Al Mughirah bin Syu'bah], he proposed to a woman. The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said: 'Look at her! For that will make your marriage more enduring.' Similar hadiths are narrated from Muhammad bin Maslamah, Jabir, Abu Humaid, Anas, and Abu Hurairah. Abu Isa said; 'This is a hasan sahih hadith. Some scholars practice this hadith. They say; 'It is permissible to look at her, as long as not seeing prohibited parts.' This is the opinion of Ahmad and Ishaq. The meaning of '...more enduring for your marriage' is the enduring of affection between them.'
