Nabi bersabda: Seandainya tidak memberatkan umatku, niscaya aku perintahkan mereka bersiwak setiap hendak shalat

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كِلَاهُمَا عِنْدِي صَحِيحٌ لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِنَّمَا صَحَّ لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ وَأَمَّا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ حَدِيثَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ أَصَحُّ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ وَعَلِيٍّ وَعَائِشَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَحُذَيْفَةَ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَتَمَّامِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَوَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ وَأَبِي مُوسَى

Narrated to us [Abu Kurayb], he said: narrated to us [‘Abdah bin Sulayman] from [Muhammad bin ‘Amr] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah]: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s peace be upon him, said: "Were it not burdensome upon my Ummah, I would certainly command them to use the siwak every time they pray." Abu Isa said: "This hadith is also narrated by [Muhammad bin Ishaq] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim] from [Abu Salamah] from [Zayd bin Khalid] from the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him." In my view both the narration of Abu Salamah from Abu Hurairah and from Zayd bin Khalid from the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him, are sahih, because the hadith is not narrated by a single chain from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him, but through another chain, so the narration of Abu Hurairah becomes sahih. Muhammad bin Isma‘il claimed that the narration of Abu Salamah from Zayd bin Khalid is more sahih. Abu Isa said: "In this chapter there are also narrations from Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, ‘Ali, ‘A’ishah, Ibn ‘Abbas, Hudhayfah, Zayd bin Khalid, Anas, ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr, Ibn ‘Umar, Umm Habibah, Abu Ayyub, Tammam bin ‘Abbas, ‘Abdullah bin Handhalah, Umm Salamah, Wathilah Al-Asqa‘ and Abu Musa."
