Imam Tirmidzi : 1889حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَفْضَلُ الدِّينَارِ دِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ وَدِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَدِينَارٌ يُنْفِقُهُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ بَدَأَ بِالْعِيَالِ ثُمَّ قَالَ فَأَيُّ رَجُلٍ أَعْظَمُ أَجْرًا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُنْفِقُ عَلَى عِيَالٍ لَهُ صِغَارٍ يُعِفُّهُمْ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَيُغْنِيهِمْ اللَّهُ بِهِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Qutaibah], narrated to us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Ayyub] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Abu Asma`] from [Tsauban] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'The best dinar is the one a person spends on his family, the dinar he spends on his mount in the way of Allah, and the dinar he spends on his companions in the way of Allah.' Abu Qilabah said: He began with the family. Then he said: 'Who is greater in reward than one who spends on his family, whereby Allah honors them and provides for them?' Abu Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
