Mulailah puasa ketika melihat hilal Ramadhan
Imam Nasa'i : 2084أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي كُرَيْبٌأَنَّ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ بَعَثَتْهُ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ بِالشَّامِ قَالَ فَقَدِمْتُ الشَّامَ فَقَضَيْتُ حَاجَتَهَا وَاسْتَهَلَّ عَلَيَّ هِلَالُ رَمَضَانَ وَأَنَا بِالشَّامِ فَرَأَيْتُ الْهِلَالَ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فِي آخِرِ الشَّهْرِ فَسَأَلَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْهِلَالَ فَقَالَ مَتَى رَأَيْتُمْ فَقُلْتُ رَأَيْنَاهُ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَالَ أَنْتَ رَأَيْتَهُ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ وَرَآهُ النَّاسُ فَصَامُوا وَصَامَ مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ لَكِنْ رَأَيْنَاهُ لَيْلَةَ السَّبْتِ فَلَا نَزَالُ نَصُومُ حَتَّى نُكْمِلَ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا أَوْ نَرَاهُ فَقُلْتُ أَوَ لَا تَكْتَفِي بِرُؤْيَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ لَا هَكَذَا أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Narrated to us ['Ali bin Hujr] he said :Narrated to us [Isma'il] he said :Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Abu Harmalah] he said : had informed me [Kuraib] that Ummul Fadhl had sent him to meet Mu'awiyah in Syria, he said : "So I came to Syam, then finished his needs. The crescent moon of Ramadlan was clearly visible to me when I was in Sham, and I saw the new moon on Friday night. Then I came to Medina at the end of the month, then I asked [Abdullah bin Abbas], then he mentioned about the new moon and asked; "When did you see it?" I answered, "We saw it on Friday night." He asked; "You saw it on Friday night?" I answered; "Yes, and the people saw it and they fasted and Mu'awiyah fasted." He said : "But we saw it on Saturday night! So we keep fasting until we complete the thirty days or when we see them again. I asked; "Don't we have enough of Ru'yah Mu'awiyah and his friends?" he answered; "No, that is what Rasulullah peace be upon him ordered us to do."
