Walimah melebihi dari dua hari adalah riya dan sum’ah
Imam Tirmidzi : 1016حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامُ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ حَقٌّ وَطَعَامُ يَوْمِ الثَّانِي سُنَّةٌ وَطَعَامُ يَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ سُمْعَةٌ وَمَنْ سَمَّعَ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ زِيَادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَزِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ كَثِيرُ الْغَرَائِبِ وَالْمَنَاكِيرِ قَالَ و سَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَعِيلَ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَعَ شَرَفِهِ يَكْذِبُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ
Narrated to us by [Muhammad bin Musa Al Bashri], narrated to us by [Ziyad bin Abdullah], narrated to us by ['Atha` bin As Sa`ib] from [Abu Abdurrahman] from [Ibnu Mas'ud] who said; The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him said: 'The food of walimah on the first day is obligatory (to hold and attend). On the second day it is only sunnah. On the third day it is showing off (sum‘ah, wanting to be heard). Whoever shows off (sum'ah), Allah will make him known on the Day of Gathering as one who is ostentatious.' Abu Isa said; 'The hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. We do not know it to be narrated as marfu' except from the hadith of Ziyad bin Abdullah. Ziyad bin Abdullah narrates many munkar and gharib hadiths.' (Abu Isa At Tirmidzi) said; 'I have heard Muhammad narrating from Muhammad bin 'Uqbah who said; Waki' said; 'Ziyad bin Abdullah with his nobility, he lied in narrating hadiths.''
