Nabi tidak tahu kejadian suatu perkara, dan hanya menghukumi berdasarkan dzahirnya
Imam Tirmidzi : 1259حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ إِلَيَّ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَإِنْ قَضَيْتُ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنْ النَّارِ فَلَا يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًاقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Harun bin Ishaq Al Hamdani], narrated to us [Abdah bin Sulaiman] from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Zainab binti Ummu Salamah] from [Ummu Salamah], she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed, you will bring your cases to me, yet I am only a human. Perhaps some of you are more eloquent in argument. So if I rule for one of you taking his brother's right, I am giving him a piece of Hellfire. Let him not take any of it." He said: In this matter, there is a similar hadith from Abu Hurairah and A`isyah. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Ummu Salamah is hasan sahih."
