Narrated to us [Abdullah bin Maslamah] from [Malik] from [Ibn Syihab] from [Urwah bin Az Zubair] from ['Aisyah, may Allah be pleased with her] she said, 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was never given two choices except he chose the easier of the two as long as it was not a sin. If it was part of a sin, then he was the furthest from sin among people. And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) never took revenge for himself except if it related to violating Allah's sanctity, then he took revenge for Allah.'
