Narrated by [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah], he said: Narrated by [Yunus bin Muhammad] from [Jarir bin Hazim] from [Nafi'] from [Sa`ibah], freed slave of Al Fakih bin Al Mughirah, that she visited [Aisyah] and saw a spear in her house. She asked, 'O Mother of the Believers, what do you do with this?' Aisyah replied, 'We kill geckos with it, for the Prophet shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam told us that when Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, all creatures tried to extinguish it except the gecko, which blew to keep it burning. Thus, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered its killing.'
