حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِيَّاكَ وَالِالْتِفَاتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ الِالْتِفَاتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ هَلَكَةٌ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ فَفِي التَّطَوُّعِ لَا فِي الْفَرِيضَةِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
Narrated to us [Abu Hatim Muslim bin Hatim Al Bashri], narrated to us [Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Anshari] from [his father] from [Ali bin Zaid] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyib], he said, [Anas bin Malik] said, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "O my son, do not turn your head in prayer, because turning in prayer is a cause of destruction, if you are forced to turn in prayer, then do it in voluntary prayer, not in obligatory prayer. Abu 'Isa said, This is a hasan gharib hadith.
