Imam Bukhari : 1137
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَاأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قِبَلَ أَحَدِكُمْ فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَبْزُقَنَّ أَوْ قَالَ لَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَحَتَّهَا بِيَدِهِوَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْزُقْ عَلَى يَسَارِهِ
Sulaiman bin Harb narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us from Ayyub, from Nafi,, from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him saw spittle on the qibla of the mosque and became angry with the people of the mosque, saying, 'Indeed, Allah is in front of each of you (during prayer). So when praying, do not spit,' or he Sa'd 'do not clear your throat.' Then he stepped down and wiped the spittle with his hand. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) Sa'd 'If one of you must spit, let him spit to his left.'
