Keringanan dalam shalat malam setelah turunnya ayat terakhir surat al-muzzammil
Imam Abu Dawud : 1109حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ابْنِ شَبُّوَيْهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَفِي الْمُزَّمِّلِ{ قُمْ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا نِصْفَهُ }نَسَخَتْهَا الْآيَةُ الَّتِي فِيهَا{ عَلِمَ أَنْ لَنْ تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ }وَنَاشِئَةُ اللَّيْلِ أَوَّلُهُ وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُمْ لِأَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ هُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ تُحْصُوا مَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ إِذَا نَامَ لَمْ يَدْرِ مَتَى يَسْتَيْقِظُ وَقَوْلُهُ أَقْوَمُ قِيلًا هُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ يَفْقَهَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَقَوْلُهُ{ إِنَّ لَكَ فِي النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا }يَقُولُ فَرَاغًا طَوِيلًا
Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Muhammad Al Mawarzi Ibn Shabbuwaih] narrated to me [Ali bin Husain] from [his father] from [Yazid An Nahwi] from ['Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas] he said regarding Surah Al Muzammil, that is: 'Stand (in prayer) at night, except a little of it, (that is) half of it.' (QS Al Muzammil: 2-3). That verse was abrogated by this verse, that is: 'Allah knows that you cannot determine the limits of that time, so He gives you leniency, therefore recite what is easy for you from the Qur'an.' (QS Al Muzzamil: 20). The meaning of 'Nashi'atul lail' is their (the companions') tahajjud prayer at the beginning of the night (before it was abrogated). Ibn Abbas continued: 'Tahajjud at the beginning of the night is more suitable for you to determine the time of waking at night that Allah has obligated for you. This is because a person, once asleep, does not know when he will wake up.' The meaning of Allah’s statement: 'Aqwamu qila' is more suitable for understanding the Qur'an (when recited at night), and the meaning of the verse: 'Inna laka fin nahaari sabhan thawiila' is a long opportunity.'
