Barangsiapa yakin tidak bisa bangun di akhir malam, maka berwitirlah di awal malam
Imam Tirmidzi : 418وَرُوِيَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ خَشِيَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ لَا يَسْتَيْقِظَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيُوتِرْ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَمَنْ طَمِعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَقُومَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيُوتِرْ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّ قِرَاءَةَ الْقُرْآنِ فِي آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ مَحْضُورَةٌ وَهِيَ أَفْضَلُحَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ
It is narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Whoever among you fears he cannot wake up at the end of the night, let him perform witir at the beginning of the night, and whoever among you is able to wake up at the end of his night, let him perform witir at the end of the night, because indeed the recitation of the Qur'an at the end of the night is witnessed (by the angels) and it is the best (time)." Narrated with that hadith to us [Hannad], narrated to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Sufyan] from [Jabir] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with that hadith.
