حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَأَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ مُشْتَمِلًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ وَأَنَسٍ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي أَسِيدٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَكَيْسَانَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَأُمِّ هَانِئٍ وَعَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ وَطَلْقِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَعُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِنْ التَّابِعِينَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ قَالُوا لَا بَأْسَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ وَقَدْ قَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ

Narrated to us [Qutaibah bin Sa'id], he said: narrated to us [Al Laits] from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Umar bin Abu Salamah] that he saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pray in the house of Ummu Salamah wrapped in one cloth." Abu Isa said: "In this chapter there is also a narration from Abu Hurairah, Jabir, Salamah bin Al Akwa', Anas, Umar bin Abu Asid, Abu Sa'id, Kaisan, Ibnu Abbas, 'Aisyah, Ummu Hani', 'Ammar bin Yasir, Thalq bin Ali, and Ubadah bin Ash Shamit Al Anshari." Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Umar bin Abu Salamah is hasan sahih. Most scholars from the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and those after them from the tabi'in and others act upon this hadith. They say: 'It is fine to pray using one cloth. And some scholars say: 'One should pray with two cloths.'"
