حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَإِنَّمَا الْمَاءُ مِنْ الْمَاءِ فِي الِاحْتِلَامِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى سَمِعْت الْجَارُودَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ وَكِيعًا يَقُولُ لَمْ نَجِدْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا عِنْدَ شَرِيكٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَأَبُو الْجَحَّافِ اسْمُهُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَوْفٍ وَيُرْوَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَحَّافِ وَكَانَ مَرْضِيًّا قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَالزُّبَيْرِ وَطَلْحَةَ وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ الْمَاءُ مِنْ الْمَاءِ

Narrated to us [‘Ali bin Hujr] he said: informed us [Sharik] from [Abu Al-Jahhaf] from [‘Ikrimah] from [Ibnu ‘Abbas] he said: "Bathing due to emission in a dream." Abu Isa said: I heard Al-Jarud say: I heard Waki‘ say: "We know this hadith only from Sharik." Abu Isa said: "Abu Al-Jahhaf’s name is Dawud bin Abu ‘Awf." It is also narrated from Sufyan Ath-Thawri: he said: "Abu Al-Jahhaf narrated to us—he is acceptable." Abu Isa said: "In this chapter there are narrations from ‘Utsman bin ‘Affan, ‘Ali bin Abu Thalib, Az-Zubair, Thalhah, Abu Ayyub and Abu Sa‘id from the Prophet (peace be upon him): ‘Water is due to water.’"
