Edustava hadith
Nabi meminta dibacakan 100 bait syair Umayyah bin abu shalt, setiap bait beliau membenarkan, lalu bersabda: hampir saja ia memeluk islam
Imam Muslim : 4185حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَدِفْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنْ شِعْرِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ شَيْءٌ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ هِيهْ فَأَنْشَدْتُهُ بَيْتًا فَقَالَ هِيهْ ثُمَّ أَنْشَدْتُهُ بَيْتًا فَقَالَ هِيهْ حَتَّى أَنْشَدْتُهُ مِائَةَ بَيْتٍ و حَدَّثَنِيهِ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ أَوْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ الشَّرِيدِ قَالَ أَرْدَفَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَلْفَهُ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ح و حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّائِفِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ اسْتَنْشَدَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ وَزَادَ قَالَ إِنْ كَادَ لِيُسْلِمُ وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ فَلَقَدْ كَادَ يُسْلِمُ فِي شِعْرِهِ
Narrated to us ['Amru An Naqid] and [Ibnu Abu 'Umar], both from [Ibnu 'Uyainah]. [Ibnu Abu 'Umar] said: Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Ibrahim bin Maisarah] from ['Amru bin Asy Syarid] from [his father], he said: 'One day, I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. He asked: "Do you know the poetry of Umayyah bin Abu Shalt?" I replied: "Yes." He said: "Recite it for me!" I recited one verse. He said: "More!" I recited another. He said: "More!" until I recited a hundred verses.' Narrated to me [Zuhair bin Harb] and [Ahmad bin Abdah], all from [Ibnu Uyainah] from [Ibrahim bin Maisarah] from ['Amru bin Syarid] or [Ya'qub bin 'Ashim bin As Syarid], he said: 'One day, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, had me ride behind him, and he mentioned a similar hadith.' Narrated to us [Yahya bin Yahya] Informed us [Al Mu'tamir bin Sulaiman] likewise narrated through other chains. Narrated to me [Zuhair bin Harb] Narrated to us ['Abdur Rahman bin Mahdi], both from ['Abdullah bin 'Abdur Rahman Ath Thaifi] from ['Amru bin Asy Syarid] from [his father], he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, asked me to recite poetry, similar to Ibrahim bin Maisarah’s hadith, with the addition: 'He almost embraced Islam.' In Ibnu Mahdi’s hadith, it says: 'He nearly embraced Islam due to his poetry.'
