Pada masa Rasulullah ada empat orang sahabat yang bertugas menghimpun Al Qur'an
Imam Tirmidzi : 3727حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَجَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍقَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ مَنْ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ أَحَدُ عُمُومَتِي قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basyar], narrated to us [Yahya bin Sa'id], narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Anas bin Malik], he said: 'The Quran was collected by four people, all of whom were from the Ansar: Ubay bin Ka'ab, Mu'adz bin Jabal, Zaid bin Tsabit, and Abu Zaid.' Qatadah said: I asked Anas, 'Who is Abu Zaid?' Anas bin Malik replied: 'He is one of my uncles.' Abu Isa said: 'This hadith is a hasan sahih hadith.'
