Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam tidaklah meninggalkan orang yang lebih paham dan mengerti tentang Al Qur'an daripada Abdullah bin mas'ud setelah beliau wafat
Imam Nasa'i : 4977أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ قَالَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عَلَى قِرَاءَةِ مَنْ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَقْرَأُ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِضْعًا وَسَبْعِينَ سُورَةً وَإِنَّ زَيْدًا لَصَاحِبُ ذُؤَابَتَيْنِ يَلْعَبُ مَعَ الصِّبْيَانِ
Narrated to us [Al Hasan bin Isma'il bin Sulaiman], he said : has told us [Abdah bin Sulaiman] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Hubairah bin Yarim], he said : [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] said : based on whose reading do you order me to read? "Indeed, I have read the Koran at the (instruction) of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, more than seventy letters, whereas Zaid at that time was a person with two topknots who was playing with the children."
